Our friend and customer Samantha of SKH Interior Design opened her stylish historic Fan home to us for our next home tour.
Isn’t she a beauty? We love the charming front porch and of course the fabric covered awnings 😉
Inside we find a comfortable and chic interior with refinished items by Samantha retro items and up-cycled gems.
Like her grandparents 1960’s era chair that must have been redone by someone u-fabulous.
The quirky artwork involves animals dressed in clothes, including the dog paintings in the first living room photo that were actually hand painted by Samantha.
We love this collected dining area, from the shark to the school house chair, to handmade bunting from pages of an old Emerson novel.
The rich wood floors balance all of the other mixtures of wood and metals found throughout the space and the cow head above the bed Samantha found at a roadside stop in Oaxaca, Mexico. It’s made from some type of resin.
Though we think this dapper fox is the real deal especially loving his u-fabulous bowtie.
Out back Samantha bring rustic touches with modern conveniences.
Samantha makes use of a small space with a multifunctional bench.
