Our on staff designer Susan, has been working on a fabulous home in the West End of Richmond. We were invited to show case the home on our blog by Terri, and were delighted with what we found. Not only was the space a complete compliment of Terri’s personality, it showcases some of the great design talent we have on staff. Please make yourself at home, Terri would prefer it that way.
What a gorgeous estate from the inside, out.
The view from the front door, you immediately are drawn to her breakfast nook. What a bright and lovely space.
To your left, you will find Terri’s very first furniture purchase, this entry table, and a gorgeous sunburst mirror.
To your right you will find a bold leopard print bench balancing a very solemn piece of art. Can we get a close up of that fun pattern?
Yep, still just as awesome up close. Already I know this home is a mix of fearless patterns executed perfectly.
Beyond the front door, the formal sitting room with some very bold black and tan chairs accented with rich reds.
Terri’s inherited Duncan Phyfe sofa adds a gorgeous traditional anchor to this space.
But back to those, chairs, aren’t they the tops? You can never go wrong with vertical stripes.
On to the dining room, complete with a rustic 7 foot farm table that Terri told me she got for just $499 from Crate & Barrel on clearance. How is that even possible!?
The tall teardrop lamps also formally belonged to Susan, who thought they would complete Terri’s space, and it does feel like they were made for that room.
The entire dining room was designed around this fabric, in fact Terri admits it started her entire house re-decorating project.
Back in the kitchen, we find a few more pops of that delicious sun gold.
Rounding the corner to a second view of the breakfast nook.
And a better view of those fabulous curtains.
The arrangement by Susan, is simple yet stunning and goes perfectly with the space.
The living room landed a space on our inspirational rooms section of our website – browse it for fabric ideas.
The real gem of this home is the living room, what pattern does your eye go to first? I love that there are 10 different fabrics in this room and it all feels like they were made for each other.
Can you believe this is a slip cover? Slip cover by Bob Mcrae.
Terri’s adorable children become the focal point of the room with these large custom canvases by Canvas on Demand.
Three of the five different pillow patterns on the sofa.
Another view of the pillow fun!
My favorite piece in the house this whimsical geometric chair!
Terri is a dog lover too, and houses foster pups along with her own. We think that Cassie, was in mind when choosing some of these colors. She almost looks camouflage.
Out back we see Terri’s husband Alvin’s handy work. A custom stone slab patio looks like the perfect space to enjoy this wonderful fall weather.
