If you are looking into getting custom sewing work done, chances are you will need to measure your windows, doors or bed to create a detailed picture of what dimensions fit your space. Typically interior designers offer these services, our stores even offer in-home consultations for these if you are nervous about taking the measurements yourself. But if you are looking to save a bit and take these measurements directly to your sewing work room, we have a few handy guides you can use for reference. If you do measure yourself, you may want to confirm with your seamstress that your measurements are absolutely correct by reviewing each one and explaining where you measured from, and it’s never a bad idea to measure the same section multiple times, as mistakes can be costly.
